Sign of the Apocalypse: Jersey Shore Begins Around The World

The MTV show is taking over the world. Slowly, but surely, and now they're their "talents" to Italy for season 4:
Yes yesss y’all — the rumors...are true. “Jersey Shore” will be shooting its fourth season in ITALY! According to an official hot-off-the-press release from our employer, the entire cast and crew of MTV’s wildly popular hit show will be trading in their shot-filled road trips to Seaside Heights for a sure-to-be mini-bottle laden plane ride to their homeland.
The people who have never seen the Jersey Shore are moaning in anger, while the Jersey Shore die hards are proclaiming "who thought it couldn't get any better? what a brilliant idea." It is a great idea, mainly to see the guido wanna-be Italians are going to be spitting game on girls who probably doesn't speak any English. On second thought, that should work to their advantage.

Wiz Khalifa to Perform At AFC Championship

2010 was a breakout year for rapper Wiz Khalifa, and 2011 could be even bigger. As his single sits in the top 5 on the billboard charts, he has gotten the opportunity to perform his hit song with a Pittsburgh theme in his home town...in front of 80,000...at the AFC Championship pre-game on Sunday.
Wiz will perform his hit during the pre-game festivities at Heinz Field. Wiz is also being granted the honor, along with actor and Pittsburgh native Billy Gardell, of leading the Steelers fans in the Terrible Towel Twirl before kickoff.  No doubt this is a tremendous honor for diehard Steelers fan Khalifa.

Gervais's jokes biggest suprise at Globes

Well, last night's Golden Globes didn't have many surprises, except maybe for Ricky Gervais's extreme off-color jokes, which according to many media outlets, is getting him banned from hosting the show ever again. Even worse, "...any movie he makes he can forget about getting nominated." Take a look for yourself.

Need we forget, however, that this is Ricky Gervais? Did we really think his jokes weren't going to be edgy and risque? And here's a question, did the Hollywood Foreign Press not review his jokes before the show? If he went off script, then by all means be mad at him, but if his jokes were approved, then shuddup and deal with it, boys.

Goldeneye is what you'd expect, but not

Think back to the game you loved on N64. GoldenEye was considered the premiere first-person shooter, the game that actually pioneered the genre. It's been 13 years since that original version of the game came out, and a few months ago, a new version of GoldenEye was released for the Wii. I got my hands on a copy a few weeks ago, and let me tell you something: this is not the GoldenEye you remember.

This game is better.

GoldenEye for Wii
is not that same story you remember from the movie or the original game. Instead, we are given a vivid retelling of the story, and Daniel Craig is James Bond this time, giving the action more spunk and pep, and more danger. Instead of jumping off the dam with a bungee-cord, we jump off the bridge with nothing at all. Take this idea and stuff it into every story line, update the technology, and there you have it: 2010's GoldenEye for Wii.

GoldenEye is a fun game to play with good weapons and realistic game-play. As in the original, you can still slowly move around maps to remain undetected, or go guns blazing and try to take as many of the bad guys with you. Which, as usual in these sorts of games, there are a lot of. They must offer great benefits packages to these goons. Maybe I can get in on that.

The graphics are smooth, and awfully good, but still video-game like. We are on a Wii after all. But hook up your system to a nice stereo-surround sound system, and prepare to be blasted away. One of my friends thought the explosions were actually taking place in his home.

Game-play is awfully interesting with the Wii remote and nunchuck. While it all makes sense, I found myself having trouble to turn right and left quickly enough to find enemies, especially in multiplayer mode. There is the option of using the classic controller or Wii Zapper (which I did not enjoy using). But overall the control scheme using the remote was clean and efficient.

Multiplayer mode, by the way, is exactly what you remember from the original. You can all go at it in a split-screen mode and try to kill each other, or go into a team mode. Of course there is a Golden Gun mode, where you kill everyone with one shot from the infamous weapon. And then there is the online mode: that's right, a Wii game with an expansive online play feature. Now you can team up with friends against strangers and shoot each others guts out in several different modes, and garner experience points to unlock new weapons, gadgets, and online-game modes.

Overall, this game is awesome, which is why it is already being hailed as the best first-person shooter on Wii (IGN). If you go and buy just one game for the Wii in the next few months, buy GoldenEye. Then make me your friend so I can come and kill you.

Here's the second release of my weekly dose of free ipod filler. This track is called "We Built This City" and samples the classic Starship track of the same name. Enjoy!

Not exactly safe for work Chinese invention

This one's kinda out there. Nothing like rejuvenating those sagging or small breasts with a little vibrator. The advertisement is practically soft-core porn.

Reminds me of the Shake Weight.

Or even worse, the Shake Weight for Men.

Live to Dance...and Faceplant

Great viral video from the debut of CBS' reality show "Live to Dance", also known as a feeble attempt to grab American Idol's ratings. Still, they got my attention with this wicked wipeout last night. Check out the golf ball bruise on this girl's head after her performance:

New Feature for 2011: Free Music by...ME!

This was a longtime match made in heaven. I make music. I don't take myself or my music too seriously, and it will likely never be anything more than a hobby. When my college roommate and I recorded our first song in 2006, Token Sports/Spinoff CEO/Co-Founder Mike was right there behind the boards, producing for us. Ever since, I've always enjoyed making a track from time to time. We picked the name D.A. Finest (aka "DnA") cause it was easy to remember, and our names are Doug and Alex. No rocket science needed there.

Fast forward 4 years later. We're college graduates who are trying to turn the Token Sports empire into the greatest thing to hit the web, so why not use the site as a platform to promote my music, and give it to all of you for free? This was one of the biggest "duh" moments in the history of Token Sports. It's a New  Year, so it's time to step things up. I give you free music, I promote the site, and I get to hear what you think.

To classify DnA music as "a typical white kid rapping" is unfair. Being a fan of everything from Lifehouse to Ludacris, Lady Gaga and Lil Wayne, I take my experiences and my wide taste in music to put together something fun for everyone to listen to. I make party songs, I make love songs, I make catchy songs...I don't corner myself creatively. Here's the first dose of free music from me, a fast-paced dance track called "Come Over" featuring Young Quis. Watch the video and download it for free below!
