What is a spinoff?

According to Wikitionary (yea, that's Wikipedia's dictionary) a spin-off is:
1. Offshoot.
2. An incidental benefit or unexpected pay-off. Space research often provides a spin-off for everyday technology.
3. By-product.
4. A fictional work where the protagonist was introduced in a preceding work or at least shares the same equivalent setting, often in a different aspect. Like most spin-offs, I enjoy Fraiser more than the original show.
5. The formation of a subsidiary that continues the operations of part of the parent company; the company so formed.
Here at The Token Spinoff, we'll try to be an offshoot of Token Sports, have some sort of unexpected pay-off for you, the one reader of Token Sports (and now The Token Spinoff), and still contiue to operate as part of Token Sports.

And we'll show you some Frasier to make you happy.

Enjoy!
